About Me
Person-Centred Counselling and Drawing and Talking therapy in Darlington.
π± Who I Am
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Reaching out for support is the important first step towards getting the help you need and deserve at this point in your life.
Life can look βfineβ from the outside, yet inside feel exhausting and overwhelming. You may find yourself anxious, stuck, or struggling to hold things together with relationship and family worries, health issues, or pressures at work. You don't have to face any of this alone.
When you're unsure where to turn, counselling can slow a racing mind and bring clarity back into your life. It offers you the opportunity to make sense of what's happening inside you and gently explore the thoughts and feelings that may be keeping you stuck.
Counselling is a unique relationship where you can talk freely without fear of judgement. My approach is compassionate, calm, and centered around you.
In our sessions, you can expect to feel respected, understood, and deeply listened to. Together, we will explore your experiences at your pace, helping you understand patterns that may be holding you back and what influences how you feel and respond.
By putting your wellbeing first and gaining insight into your inner world, you can feel more empowered, more in control, and better equipped to face future challenges with confidence.
I work with clients at all stages of life. Whether you are feeling anxious, lacking confidence, lonely or struggling with a specific issue that is becoming overwhelming, we can work together either short or longer-term, whichever best meets your needs. I offer face to face appointments in Darlington from my home office, as well as online via Teams or Zoom.

Support for all ages
Counselling for ages 16 and over, and Drawing and Talking therapy for ages 5 to 16.
What to expect in your first session
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other in a caring, safe space where you feel comfortable from the very beginning.
As a person-centred counsellor, the session is led by you. This means we focus on what feels most important to you, without pressure or expectation.
During the first meeting, we will:
- Explore what brings you to counselling, including any stresses, worries, or feelings you've been carrying.
- Talk about what you hope to gain, even if you don't yet have clear goals β the person-centred approach supports you in discovering these over time.
- Look at your world from your perspective, helping me understand your experiences in the way you understand them.
The next step
If you would like to talk things through, I offer a free 15-minute initial telephone consultation. This gives you a chance to ask questions, explore how counselling could help you, and for us to begin a counselling relationship.
My work with children ages 5-16 is Drawing & Talking Therapy. Drawing and Talking provides children with a safe, consistent and trusted therapeutic relationship where they can begin to explore their emotions, develop resilience and feel heard. With over 20 years experience of supporting children in an education setting I am able to provide your child space to process emotions safely and gently.
